“It’s been 2 years. At times I thought you were gone. Then I look up and there you were, King Houdini, leader of the Miami Heat, playing hot potato on the biggest stage.”

During game 3 of the NBA Finals, we were all witnesses again to LeBron’s disappearing act. While Heat fans are trying to figure out what happened. Every Cleveland sports fan is sitting back thinking to themselves, “Now that’s the back to back MVP I know.”

Cleveland Cavalier fans have all witnessed James play hot potato in some of the biggest games. During that time it was confounding. Personally I thought he was quitting on the Cavaliers. Maybe he was sick of carrying a team full of D-League all-stars, and was ready to move on to a place where he could win. But now that he’s done this in Miami, I feel differently. He has pulled this disappearing act 4 times out of the last 5 years in the playoffs. At this point you pretty much have to accept that this is who he is. However some people are still baffled. Perhaps they are just in denial.

I hear everyone on ESPN saying, “What’s going with LeBron? This is not like him.” To those people I want to yell, “No, no, no, this is exactly like him.”

LeBron James has been a front runner since his days in Cleveland. When things are going well, he was a raging inferno. However, when a good team defense keyed on him in the playoffs it seemed like he froze up (Unless that defense is the 2007 Detroit Pistons). It can be argued that he freezes because of the high stakes of the playoffs or some kind of mental block. But James does disappear in the playoffs, and that’s a fact.

So if you’re still asking yourself, “What’s with wrong with LeBron?” You should look in the mirror and ask, “What’s wrong with me?”

LeBron has seen his last championship for a long while. THey barely got through this years finals and so many other teams are getting better while the Heat are just getting older. Next year, it’s the Bulls!
