Kortney’s Last Show Podcast, EP 42: Super Bowl Week hatred

Lynch

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast, I talk about why I hate super bowl week. I don’t like the pumping and priming of big sporting events. And the super bowl is the biggest offender. That is why I hate super bowl week. It’s a variety of pregame show after pregame show, with people saying nothing. It is the most infuriating time on the sports schedule.

I also talk about my trip to San Diego for the San Diego Comedy Festival and I ponder why Eminem is no longer good.

Sunday, The Return of Dion Waiters to Cleveland #CAVSvsOKC

wpid-img_20150106_131744.jpg

I  knew the Cleveland Cavaliers played the Oklahoma City Thunder tomorrow. Which means I was looking forward to the match ups of Durant vs. LeBron in the who is the best player in the NBA, Kyrie vs. Westbrook in who can put up the most shots while being the second best player on the team, and Love vs. Ibaka in “If only we had a good coach. People wouldn’t think we’re washed up at 25.” However I forgot the real MVP, Dion Waiters.

This will be the first time the Cavs match up against OKC since shipping Dion Waiters there in the middle of the night (Baltimore Colts style). Waiters thinks he’s the best player in the league and has probably planned some type of vengeance against the organization that traded him away. He recently said that he loves his new team because he gets to touch the ball more now. However he actually shot the ball more when he was in Cleveland which is why he’s now in Oklahoma.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 41: Birdman, Marshawn Lynch, and Tiger Wood’s Tooth

LynchJunk

On this episode of The Last Show Podcast. I talk about the movie Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). I got to see and I’m confused. Not confused like I don’t know what happened. I know what happened because I watched the movie. I’m confused because I don’t know what, why was what. The acting performances were great. Ed Norton was fantastic, Michael Keaton was great, and Emma Stone still freaks me out.

I also talk about Marshawn Lynch’s running style and his epic celebration routine. Which I found out has a name, “Hold my ****.” I also talk about Tiger Wood’s tooth getting knocked out and who’s getting the most pleasure out of his troubles *spoiler alert* it’s his ex-wife and Kurt Busch’s girl being an assassin.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 40: The Ohio State Buckeyes Championship Rant

national-championship

The Ohio State Buckeyes are National Champions. So it’s only right that I open the podcast with a rant.

I breakdown the game and speculate about the future for Marcus Mariota and Ohio State. Mariota didn’t have a great game but people may be over analyzing him just a bit.

I also talk about the NBA fight between Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard. There was a hold bunch of, “H-H-Hold me Back”

The Marshawn Lynch interview is officially uncomfortable, Enough

Can we stop with the Marshawn Lynch interviews? Seriously it’s uncomfortable. Just watch the first 45 seconds for the newest edition of both teams played hard (Rasheed Wallace style).

He actually rubs his eyes at and you can see his eyes get watery.

The purpose of an interview is to hear someone talk. The only problem is Marshwan Lynch doesn’t want to talk. So why are we still seeing interviews from him? Who is gaining from this transaction? Is it the media? I don’t think it is. Who has fun being rejected once a week? I’ve been rejected before, and I wasn’t eager to go back for more. And I definitely didn’t want a camera crew to tag along and film my uncomfortable failure. So what going on?

SeahawkWaterMaybe the media is doing this because that’s just the way things are done. “Star players are supposed to talk, because the fans want to know what they have to say”.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 39: Ohio State v. Oregon

SeahawkWater

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast I talk way too much, but yet too little about my first time in Vegas. You could say I was a Vegas virgin, and you would be a D-Bag.

I got to see my first magic show. It was David Copperfield’s show and it was fantastic. He started the show by coming out to Rick Ross, which immediately got me on his good side. He had me at hello. Dude’s show was great. He disappeared, he made a car appear, and he was well worth the $55. I also got to see a lot of bad impersonators on the street, and one of them insulted me.

I talk about the National Championship game tonight. The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks. I think it’s funny that everyone is picking Ohio State all of a sudden. It’s also makes me feel weird that I agree with those people.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 38: Stuart Scott…

Football - NCAA - Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs. Oregon

When I heard about Stuart Scott passing away it rocked me like I didn’t think it would. I had no idea I had this connection to him. Many that knew him have eulogized him, so I’m not going to do that. Instead on the podcast I talk about how he affected me. I love Stuart Scott, and I glad I got the opportunity to watch him.

I also talk about Sony making a new Walkman which sounds like a horrific idea. On top of that it cost $1100.

And it wouldn’t be a show unless I talked about The Ohio State Buckeyes and their matchup against Oregon in the National Champion. Now “spoiler alert” they’re going to win, but I explain why.
