The Marshawn Lynch interview is officially uncomfortable, Enough

Can we stop with the Marshawn Lynch interviews? Seriously it’s uncomfortable. Just watch the first 45 seconds for the newest edition of both teams played hard (Rasheed Wallace style).

He actually rubs his eyes at and you can see his eyes get watery.

The purpose of an interview is to hear someone talk. The only problem is Marshwan Lynch doesn’t want to talk. So why are we still seeing interviews from him? Who is gaining from this transaction? Is it the media? I don’t think it is. Who has fun being rejected once a week? I’ve been rejected before, and I wasn’t eager to go back for more. And I definitely didn’t want a camera crew to tag along and film my uncomfortable failure. So what going on?

SeahawkWaterMaybe the media is doing this because that’s just the way things are done. “Star players are supposed to talk, because the fans want to know what they have to say”.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 39: Ohio State v. Oregon

SeahawkWater

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast I talk way too much, but yet too little about my first time in Vegas. You could say I was a Vegas virgin, and you would be a D-Bag.

I got to see my first magic show. It was David Copperfield’s show and it was fantastic. He started the show by coming out to Rick Ross, which immediately got me on his good side. He had me at hello. Dude’s show was great. He disappeared, he made a car appear, and he was well worth the $55. I also got to see a lot of bad impersonators on the street, and one of them insulted me.

I talk about the National Championship game tonight. The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks. I think it’s funny that everyone is picking Ohio State all of a sudden. It’s also makes me feel weird that I agree with those people.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 38: Stuart Scott…

Football - NCAA - Rose Bowl - Ohio State vs. Oregon

When I heard about Stuart Scott passing away it rocked me like I didn’t think it would. I had no idea I had this connection to him. Many that knew him have eulogized him, so I’m not going to do that. Instead on the podcast I talk about how he affected me. I love Stuart Scott, and I glad I got the opportunity to watch him.

I also talk about Sony making a new Walkman which sounds like a horrific idea. On top of that it cost $1100.

And it wouldn’t be a show unless I talked about The Ohio State Buckeyes and their matchup against Oregon in the National Champion. Now “spoiler alert” they’re going to win, but I explain why.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 37: The Legendary Roots Crew Live in Seattle

TheRootsLive

This podcast is all about The Legendary Roots Crew, and the concert they put on last night. I’ve always said they’re the greatest live band I’ve seen, and last night they were great. They didn’t do a lot a new stuff, which was fine with me.

I also get off on weird tangents as usual. I talk a lot about the opening act, and opening acts that I have seen. I talk about the time I witnessed and act almost get booed out of the building at a Christian concert.

I also go in on DJs. I just don’t get the beat machine guy that somehow has created a fan base of people who long to be annoyed as a source of entertainment.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 36: AirAsia Flight, Great Seattle Seahawks

All-Is-LOST-Browns,Cavs,Harbaugh

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast, All is Lost.

The Seattle Seahawks are the greatest team in the NFL. I love everything about the players on the team, and I wish I was a Seahawks fan. However, I’m stuck with the Cleveland Browns, who over the weekend manage to get headlines for not showing up to work. Apparently Johnny Manziel had a party that was so dope that he manage to miss work. Even though he was injured. That means he doesn’t actually. He only has to show up and let someone massage his hamstring.

I also talk about the missing AirAsia and Jim Harbaugh. I have a bad feeling about Jim Harbaugh to Michigan. I have a feeling he’s going to ruin one of my Saturday evenings.

Josh Smith released from a bad Detroit Pistons team

WOW!! Josh Smith got released from the awful Detroit Pistons. How bad must it have been for arguably the worst team in the NBA to say, “You can just leave, and make sure you get all your stuff.” The NBA doesn’t just release players. I can’t think of the last player that got release. Latrell Sprewell choked out his coach and he wasn’t release.

Now the question is, who’s going to pick him up. He’s really good and can help a team win. However, you don’t want him on a bad team because he would mess around and make you win games. That eliminates the 76ers, Orlando, Minnesota, and Utah. The most obvious place is the L.A. Lakers. They need help at every position, and it would give Kobe Bryant another player to yell at. However, that would create a logjam at the forward position.

I think he should sign with the Knicks they have problems defending, which Josh could help, and he would take pressure off Carmelo Anthony.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show EP 35: The Interview Movie & NBA Christmas Games

Rogan

In this episode of the last show I talk about the interview controversy.

What the heck is going on? I didn’t think America would get so charged about a Seath Rogen weed movie. Personally I was happy to know that’s all it took to shut down someone’s career. I want to know when North Korea will start taking request, because there are other people I want to stop. The top people to stop on my list are:

  1. Lady Gaga
  2. American Idol
  3. Big Bang Theory

I feel we can do without these for a while.

I also talk about the slate of NBA Christmas Day games, and what I’m looking forward to.

Did you see Dumb and Dumber To? Because I didn’t

Dumb and Dumber (Screengrab)

This morning before I left to work out. I did what I typically do. I kissed my wife and wished her a good day. Then I look at pet cat admonishingly and told him to watch the house. As I walk I walks out the door. I looked at her pet cat admonishingly, told him to watch the house while saying, “Now don’t you go dying on me now.” As I jogged to the gym I began to laugh, and think about my mother. That’s one of her favorite lines from the movie Dumb & Dumber. Then it hit me, “Didn’t they come out with a sequel?”

They said people were clamoring for a dumber and dumber sequel. Personally I’ve never met any of those people, and I spend most of my time in a comedy club. I think the only people that wanted another sequel, were the producers who tried to make a sequel in 2003 without the original cast.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 33: Busta Rhymes Falls Off Stage

Wow! It was sad to see, but it is true. Busta Rhymes fell off stage.

So its official Busta Rhymes is too old to be hip-hopping. I feel old saying that, because I grew up listening to his music. However, it comes a time for everyone to put the hip-hop down and Busta Rhymes time has come. Perhaps he can take up another profession, or do concerts while sitting in a chair. Maybe we could do one of the Coachella Busta Rhymes holograms, or have him only perform on a flat surface. I’m not sure what the solution is, but he’s too old to be hip-hopping.

I talk more about Busta Rhymes, and who is too old to be hip-hopping on this episode of The Last Show Podcast. I also talk about the College Football playoffs, and if the committee was a success.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 32: FERGUSON, AMERICAN TRAGEDY

fergusonprotest-620x400

In this episode of The Last Show I talk about the American Tragedy that was the Grand Jury’s decision to not indict Darren Wilson for killing Michael Brown.

I’m not trying to be political or gain some sort of popularity off the back of a tragedy. I just thought it was important to use the platform that I have to try to make some sort of difference. Justice was not done yesterday. And as Dr. Martin Luther Jr. said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” So Ferguson is not just some small town outside of St. Louis. Ferguson is America. Ferguson is every city in America.

I also digress and talk about The Ohio State Buckeyes, and why they should be in the college football playoffs.
