This podcast is all about The Legendary Roots Crew, and the concert they put on last night. I’ve always said they’re the greatest live band I’ve seen, and last night they were great. They didn’t do a lot a new stuff, which was fine with me.
I also get off on weird tangents as usual. I talk a lot about the opening act, and opening acts that I have seen. I talk about the time I witnessed and act almost get booed out of the building at a Christian concert.
I also go in on DJs. I just don’t get the beat machine guy that somehow has created a fan base of people who long to be annoyed as a source of entertainment.

So Kanye West has been in the news lately, for being Kanye West. As far as I can tell that has always been his only crime. It’s not the type of crime that gets you put in jail, because it’s not actually a crime. He’s just an out spoken, arrogant guy. That makes Twitter tough…

I went to see Kanye West, in Seattle, at his first stop on the Yeezus tour.
Note self: Don’t ever, ever ever ever ever, be the first stop on a tour again.
My Yeezus experience started off late. And by late I mean, the show was supposed to start at 8 o’ clock and the doors didn’t open until 8:30. Kendrick Lamar hit the stage at 10 0′ clock, and Kanye came out at 11:30. The show finally ended at 1:30 am, with me tired and confused. I actually wanted to write about this concert the day after the show, but I couldn’t stay awake. The only way I would have been able to write that night, is if that guy from A Clockwork Orange came to my house, and put clothes pins on my eye lids.
The whole Yeezus experience was confusing, creative, and entertaining. It was basically the personification of what Kanye West is.… Read More
So this is what we all been waiting for ain’t it… Kanye West has dropped the video for Black Skinned. It’s maybe his best track of his album Yezuss, and the video does not disappoint. However if you were confused as to what the song meant when you listened to it the first time. This video…

Kanye West has dropped the video for Black Skinned. It’s maybe his best track of his album Yezuss, and the video does not disappoint. However if you were confused as to what the song meant when you listened to it the first time. This video does nothing to clear up that confusion.
For the record I have listened to this song a least a hundred times, and I watched this video twice. Yet I still don’t know what a black skinhead is. I thought it was someone who was tired of conforming to the system and decided to live by their own rules. However, now that I have seen the video I feel like it’s a Coyote mixed with one of those Tupac Coachella holograms. I just pray it’s something that doesn’t bring shame to my family as I drive around blasting it while I text and drive.

Recently Rolling Stone magazine out together a panel of 100 industry executives and came out with their list of the top 50 hip hop songs of all time. Now I read this list, absorbed this list, and disagreed with this list. So rather than being pissed off and trying to strike up a, “Hey what do you think about that questionable top 50 hip hop list Rolling Stone pot together” with unsuspecting strangers at the bar (That can be risky especially at the bars I go to). I said, “What the hell?” I will put together my own list. I have a blog that 1000 people a week read (That’s right I’m bragging). I should put out a list that all 1000 of those people will hate”. Thus it was born.
Now this is not a list meant to be a memorial for the golden age of hip-hop. That means that Slick Rick won’t have 10 songs in the top 10.… Read More
