Kortney’s Last Show, EP 82: Starbucks’ Red Cups, an Eye Gouge, & Seattle Comedy Competition

PodcastLogo1637

Not gonna lie, this podcast didn’t start out great. However, it did end strong.

On episode 82 of The Last Show Podcast, I talk about the fake Starbucks’ controversy. Why are people mad about paper cups? Are Christian really mad? Why is Donald Trump still talking? I wonder when someone is going to wake me up from this Truman Show.

I also talk about Aqib Talib using an eye gouge during a football game. I thought that move was used exclusively in jail. Apparently it’s not.

The show closes strong with me talking about why the podcast wasn’t great. I’ve been doing the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and I am worn out. I feel so guilty that I end up apologizing.

On the podcast I talk about the white woman who believes she’s black and was the President of NAACP in Spokane.

I also talk about the scumbag(s) that hacked into my website, and turned it into a playground for pornography. That’s right! Porn was everywhere. I talk about it.

Seen on Fox’s Laughs TV, Kortney Shane Williams host, (Stand-Up Style)

Stand-UpStyleApril5th For the first time (Stand-Up Style) comes to Naked City Brewery, April 5th at Naked City Brewery. Hosted by, Kortney Shane Williams. Kortney is an accomplished comedian that has opened for David Alan Grier, Dave Chappelle, and regularly opens for Hannibal Buress. He’s appeared on Comedy Time, Fox’s Laugh TV, and The 206 on NBC. He has been a part of The Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, and Bumbershoot Arts festival   What is (Stand-Up Style)?? “What is (Stand-Up Style)? I thought you’d never ask, mystical voice inside my head.” (Stand-Up Style) is a comedy showcase that features international touring Stand-Up comedians, and some up-and-coming local openers. This is not an open mic or an amateur night. This is a professional showcase, that’s guaranteed to be a great night of comedy, and not one that turns your one night out, into a 3 hour marathon of unfunny; which ends up being more depressing than entertaining. Leaving you thinking, “I should have stayed home and watched Seinfeld reruns.” The shows starts at a reasonable hour, so you can’t get home and make sure your kids haven’t set your house on fire. The early start time also makes it convenient for people who have to work the next day. So you can keep your job, and not have to resort to a life of crime. We want you to stay out them streets!   Show Details (Stand-Up Style) at Naked City Brewery Sunday April, 2nd at 7 PM 8564 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103 (206) 838-6299   Tickets Tickets: $10 in advance $12 at the door Tickets on sale now, at Brown Paper Tickets More information at, Comedic Prose     Kortney Shane Williams Editor-in-Chief of Comedic Prose Follow Kortney Williams on Twitter @kortneyshane The post Seen on Fox’s Laughs TV, Kortney Shane Williams host, (Stand-Up Style) appeared first on Comedic Prose.

The Marshawn Lynch interview is officially uncomfortable, Enough

Can we stop with the Marshawn Lynch interviews? Seriously it’s uncomfortable. Just watch the first 45 seconds for the newest edition of both teams played hard (Rasheed Wallace style).

He actually rubs his eyes at and you can see his eyes get watery.

The purpose of an interview is to hear someone talk. The only problem is Marshwan Lynch doesn’t want to talk. So why are we still seeing interviews from him? Who is gaining from this transaction? Is it the media? I don’t think it is. Who has fun being rejected once a week? I’ve been rejected before, and I wasn’t eager to go back for more. And I definitely didn’t want a camera crew to tag along and film my uncomfortable failure. So what going on?

SeahawkWaterMaybe the media is doing this because that’s just the way things are done. “Star players are supposed to talk, because the fans want to know what they have to say”. Well, I can’t speak for all fans, and I definitely don’t speak for Seahawks’ fans (I don’t know if you heard but I don’t carry that Seahawks water). But I’ve had enough of the uncomfortable, I don’t want to be here Marshawn Lynch interviews. So let the man have his skittles and about his business. There are plenty of Seahawks that would love to talk. Go find them

Kortney’s Last Show EP 35: The Interview Movie & NBA Christmas Games

Rogan

In this episode of the last show I talk about the interview controversy.

What the heck is going on? I didn’t think America would get so charged about a Seath Rogen weed movie. Personally I was happy to know that’s all it took to shut down someone’s career. I want to know when North Korea will start taking request, because there are other people I want to stop. The top people to stop on my list are:

  1. Lady Gaga
  2. American Idol
  3. Big Bang Theory

I feel we can do without these for a while.

I also talk about the slate of NBA Christmas Day games, and what I’m looking forward to.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 34: Opening for Dave Chappelle & Hannibal Buress

Hannibal

So there was nothing to talk about on the podcast, so I decided to talk about myself.

The only alternative was to talk about Bill Cosby, and I’ve had enough of that. No one is moving the story forward, yet it’s not dying. This Bill Cosby story reminds me of Lady Gaga’s music career. Enough with both of them.

So I decided to talk about the last few month of my career. With special attention paid to opening for Dave Chappelle and Hannibal Buress. A lot of people have asked me a lot of questions about the experiences. So I thought I would do a podcast about it.
