Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos Just Shocked the Playoff World

“I can’t believe what I just saw!” – Jim Buck

What? Did that just happen? Please don’t tell me that Tim Tebow just won a playoff game. This weird hokey story was great during the regular season, but I don’t want the magic of Tebow being a factor in my playoff picture. I thought the Broncos would be crushed by the Steelers, and then we could wipe our hands of the murder like Lady Macbeth (Shakespeare style). I was hoping that Tim Tebow would just be something smelly on the side of the road. And yes he is that smelly thing on the side, but instead of driving past him. We stopped the car, scraped him up, and now we have to eat him for dinner next week.

You have to give Tim Tebow a lot of credit. He played big-time, and as much as I don’t want him in the playoffs. He did thoroughly outplay the Pittsburg Steelers. I don’t know if the Steelers were looking past the Broncos, but it seemed like they didn’t know what was going on for the first 3 quarters. Inside my head I was yelling, “Hey Pittsburg there’s a football game going on and you’re supposed to be playing in it (I didn’t say that out loud, because I watched the game in a sports bar, and I didn’t want to be “that guy”)!” By the time they woke up from their nap they had to be seemingly perfect to get to overtime. So they made enough plays to extend the game, but when you put yourself in the position to lose. Sometimes you lose. So bon voyage Pittsburg, thanks for leaving us with road kill.

Now that I have recovered from throwing up in my mouth (pink vomit style) lets address Denver ability to beat New England.

Obviously the Patriots are going o be a huge favorite for a number of reasons. They are coming off a bye, they have already dominated Denver once this season, they have home field advantage, and a guy by the name of Tom Brady is showing up. With that being said there is no way I’m counting out the Denver Broncos after seeing what I just saw. In my estimation Denver just beat the best team in the playoffs. Now that doesn’t mean I’m picking them or New England from that matter. Right now I’m not in the frame of mind to think rationally. Currently I feel like a sorority girl that’s coming down of a bender. So I’m going to give myself some time to recover. In the meantime I’m going to figure out if that really just happened.
