Kortney’s Last Show, EP 51: Madonna Kisses Drake, Kanye West Jumps in a Lake, and Streaming Coachella

On this episode of The Last Show Podcast I talk about Coachella. That means talk about Madonna kissing Drake. What happened right there? Drakes reaction reminds me of Justin Timberlake’s reaction when he whipped out Janet Jackson’s breast at the super bowl (and what a great super bowl it was. That’s the reason I no…

Kortney’s Last Show Podcast, EP 49: Today I Canceled My Cable

On This Episode of The Last Show Podcast hosted by, Kortney Shane Williams I have officially canceled my cable (it was actually me and my wife’s cable, but she doesn’t care if I take all the credit for it), and it feels great. Enough of Comcast’s foolishness. The only reason I had cable was for…

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 48: Kendrick Lamar & J. Cole Album Revies

Kendrick&J.Cole

Welcome back to The Last Show Podcast.

On this episode I talk about Kendrick Lamar’s new album, To Pimp A Butterfly. I call it an album review, but I’m not even sure it’s a review. Heck, I’m not even sure it’s a hip-hop album. It is a great work of art that confuses me. I don’t know what Kendrick is talking about. However, I spend time talking about it, and breaking it down.

I also talk about rediscovering the J. Cole, 2014 Forrest Hill Drive album. I heard it when it came out, and I wasn’t that impressed. It was probably because I soured on J. Cole after the Born Sinner album. I wasn’t a fan of that album. I thought it was too clunky. So when 2014 Forrest Hill Drive can out, I probably didn’t give it a fair shake. So I glad I got the opportunity to rediscover the album, while was traveling.… Read More

Kanye West, The Most Creative Artist of This Time (All Day Live Brit Awards)

After reading the headline, a lot of people could think I’m out of my mid. However, those people either haven’t been paying attention, or they’re so deadest on the idea that Kanye West is “The Most Hated Man in America” that they refuse to acknowledge the talent.

I may be guilty of being a prisoner of the moment, but this may be the greatest performance I’ve ever seen (Ever, ever ever, ever ever). The only reason I’m not being absolute, is because I need a couple days to let this sink in. I saw the performance for the first time today, and I have to let it breath. If I claim it’s the best, some dude in Boise will send me a clip of Elvis performing Rappers Delight with The Beatles and I have to retract my statement. But that doesn’t change my claim that Kanye West is the most creative artist of this time.… Read More

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 47: Madonna Falls, Llamas on the loose, and What Color is the Dress

I open the podcast talking about Madonna Falling off stage (I actually open the show talking about someone owing me some money. I need my money). A while ago I talked about Busta Rhymes being too old to be hip-hopping, when he face planted into the second row of the crowd at a concert. Now we can add Madonna to the list of artist too old to be hip-hopping. After she fell on stage while wearing a cape. That’s right Madonna was wearing a cape.

I also talk about “What Color is the Dress” and those llamas that gripped the nation.

I close the show talking James Harden kicking LeBron James in the groin. He should have been thrown out of the game.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 45: Brian Williams’ Lies

kendrick-lamar-the-blacker-the-berry

Brian Williams, oh Brian. What happened?

This is an interesting story, but I have no real opinion on it. Because I watch local news. Local news is where all the action is at. Local news reporters have to make news at least 3 days a week, because sometimes nothing happens. Consequently they end up with odd stories about the local dive bar running a pull tab scam. To me that is entertaining and that’s why I don’t watch Brian Williams. However, I am interested in all this lying. Why say you got shot at in a helicopter, when you work on TV. Come on Brian.

So I talk about Brian Williams on the podcast. Also I realized that Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar officially have new songs. I close the show wondering why people always like to count Tom Brady’s money.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 44: 57th Grammy Awards, Kanye West, LeBron James v. Kevin Love?

2015-Grammys

So I finally got the chance to watch the Grammy Awards, and it was better than I thought it would be. I didn’t know who was on stage, but I was entertained. I did find it interesting that they didn’t present rap album on the year on television. Eminem won that award. So this was a sign to everyone that still had doubt. This whole Eminem thing is over. Dude has to start making better music, or he will continue to get his awards in costume closet.

On this episode of The Last Show Podcast I talk about the 57th Grammy Awards. I also talk about the way LeBron James is dealing with Kevin Love and the Cavaliers organization.

Kortney’s Last Show Podcast, EP 43: Love Seattle Seahawks bravado and hate their passing, Lynch vs. Gronk Mortal Combat, and Soliciting Prostitutes

SeahawksTaunt

The Seattle Seahawks didn’t run the ball at the end of the Super Bowl and that’s why they lost the game. I thought we all agreed that it was a dumb call, and the worst in super bowl history. However, I’m seeing articles defending the play call, and some are even condoning it. The worst part is, Seahawks fans are starting to believe this, and they’re sending the article to me. The article I’m getting the most is Benjamin Morris’ on FiveThirtyEight.com. It is a reasonable article, but it should be held up as some kind of validation. It was a horrible call. When you throw the ball 3 things can happen and two of them are bad. Why would you do that with the game on the line? When you have the best power runner in the league. Don’t out think the room run the ball.

Kortney’s Last Show Podcast, EP 42: Super Bowl Week hatred

Lynch

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast, I talk about why I hate super bowl week. I don’t like the pumping and priming of big sporting events. And the super bowl is the biggest offender. That is why I hate super bowl week. It’s a variety of pregame show after pregame show, with people saying nothing. It is the most infuriating time on the sports schedule.

I also talk about my trip to San Diego for the San Diego Comedy Festival and I ponder why Eminem is no longer good.

Kortney’s Last Show, EP 39: Ohio State v. Oregon

SeahawkWater

In this episode of The Last Show Podcast I talk way too much, but yet too little about my first time in Vegas. You could say I was a Vegas virgin, and you would be a D-Bag.

I got to see my first magic show. It was David Copperfield’s show and it was fantastic. He started the show by coming out to Rick Ross, which immediately got me on his good side. He had me at hello. Dude’s show was great. He disappeared, he made a car appear, and he was well worth the $55. I also got to see a lot of bad impersonators on the street, and one of them insulted me.

I talk about the National Championship game tonight. The Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks. I think it’s funny that everyone is picking Ohio State all of a sudden. It’s also makes me feel weird that I agree with those people.… Read More
