Kortney’s Last Show, EP 125: Andrew Sleighter, Conversation About Comedy and Seattle Sports

*Note Explicit Language*

On this episode of The Last Show I have a conversation with comedian, Andrew Sleighter. Andrew is a Los Angeles based comedian who started his career in Seattle. It was a great conversation in which we drift in between comedy and sports.

Kortney and Andrew talk about doing comedy in Seattle, how his comedy has changed, and advice for new comedians (3:07).

They also talk about the Seattle sports scene (9:30), what kind of sports city Seattle is (12:15), why Seattle “Sport Hates” Alex Rodriguez (23:30), steroid users getting into the Hall of Fame (26:55), and cocaine filled football games at the Kingdome (31:40).

The majority of time is spent talking all about the Seattle Seahawks Fandom (40:09) If the Seahawks are an outlier (45:45), and why people hate the Seahawks (52:18).

The conversation closes wondering why The University of Washington sports teams aren’t better (1:01:14), reflecting on the Seattle Supersonics leaving; wondering how Howard Schultz feels now (1:07:09), and Ryan Lochte’s lies (1:12:30).
