The Comedy Show

Every month Kortney hosts and produces a stand-up comedy show in Seattle entitled, The Comedy Show. He books the best up-and-coming local comics to do showcase spots, and has a National touring headliner close out the show.
There will be not be a line up full of hack comics. That turns your one night out, into a 3 hour marathon of unfunny; which ends up being more depressing than entertaining. Leaving you thinking, “I should have stayed home and watched Seinfeld reruns.”

The next shows are:

June 8th at  7pm Naked City Brewery & Taphouse

Tickets are $7 in adv $10 at the door

Kortney along with Brett Hamil and John Gardner Presents The Taphouse Sessions

The Taphouse Sessions will be a monthly comedy show featuring National touring headliners and good up-in-coming local comics. With the operative word in the previous sentence being “good.” You will not see the same stale acts that appear at most comedy shows. That turns your one night out, into a 3 hour marathon of unfunny; which ends up being more depressing than entertaining. Leaving you thinking, “I should have stayed home and watched Seinfeld reruns.”

About the Producers:
The Taphouse Sessions is produced by John Gardner, Brett Hamil, and Kortney Shane Williams. All of the are Seattle based comedians that are accomplished in their own right – which you can read more about below – that work together to produce a quality show.
John Gardner is born and raised in Seattle. While he has a day job he considers comedy to be his true calling. Even though no one actually called him to do it, including God, who’s usually the one who makes those kind of calls.
Brett Hamil is a Stand-Up comedian that has been called a “truly treasured ham” by alt-weekly The Stranger. He performed at festivals in both U.S. and Canada including Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival (Seattle), Bridgetown Comedy Festival (Portland), and the Northwest Comedy Festival (Vancouver.) He also writes a humor column in City Arts Magazine and is the creator of the award-eligible one-man sketch comedy podcast Ham Radio with Brett Hamil.
Kortney Shane Williams has been featured on Comedy Central’s South Beach Comedy Festival, Comedy Time, and was a 2012 Stand-Up NBC Finalist. He is also the editor-in-chief of Comedic Prose, which has been featured on Yahoo! and FoxSports.com.

The format of The Taphouse Sessions will be a little different than a traditional comedy show, but it’s guaranteed to be fun. So come out to:
